Qualifying Information

  • When registering for BIKC, select the venue where you want to qualify and choose your driver category from the dropdown menu.
  • Qualifying runs from June 1st to August 31st. All qualifying laps must be completed within this period.
  • To officially qualify, drivers must set three lap times on three separate days. Drivers can do multiple sessions on the same day, but only their single fastest lap will count for that day.
  • Your qualifying laps can be set in any session type, at any time of day.
  • After qualifying closes, the top 20 Cadets and the top 24 Juniors, Lightweights, Middleweights, and Heavyweights at each venue will be invited to compete in the Local Final.

Local Finals

The Local Finals will feature the Mini GP+ format:

• 15 minute practise.
• 15 minute qualifying.
• 15minute final.

Competitors will be randomly split into two groups for practice and qualifying. The fastest half from qualifying go into the ‘A’ final, with the remaining drivers racing in the ‘B’ final. The ‘B’ final winner will then join the back of the grid for the ‘A’ final.

The top five Cadets and the top six drivers in all other categories will qualify for the Regional Finals.

The Local finals will take place over the following dates:

Cadet - Monday 14th September
Junior - Wednesday 16th September
Lightweight- Wednesday 16th September
Middleweight - Thursday 17th September
Heavyweight - Thursday 17th September

Regional Finals

The Regional Finals will take place in October, spread across three weeks. The 2026 Regional dates are as followed:

• 10th & 11th October 2026
• 17th & 18th October 2026
• 24th & 25th October 2026
Under 16s compete Saturday, Over 16s compete Sunday.

The 2026 Regional Final Format:

• 3 x 4-minute qualifying sessions into 8-minute race.
• 12-minute semi final.
• 15-minute grand final.

The top 3 drivers from each category will progress to the National Finals.
Regional Final location will be released once qualifying has concluded.

National Final

The National Final is the concluding stage of the competition, where five drivers will be crowned the 2026 British Champions. It will take place in November over a single weekend. The 2026 National Final date is as followed:

Under 16s
Saturday 14th November
Over 16s
Sunday 15th November

It is essential that drivers adhere to the stated arrival times. Failure to do so will result in participants being refused entry and unable to compete.
