Qualifying opens on 1st June 2026 across 37 TeamSport venues nationwide, and drivers have until 31st August 2026 to set their fastest qualifying lap times.

To take part in the British Indoor Karting Championship, all drivers must hold a Motorsport UK K-I Licence, which is included within our Elite and Race Academy Memberships*. Minimum Height Requirements

The Minimum Height Requirements for the Driver Categories are:

Cadets – 8 to 12 years | A minimum 25″ inner leg measurement is required for the smaller go karts

Juniors and Adults 13 years + | A minimum 29″ inner leg measurement is required for the adult go karts

An exception may be made for Drivers who are 13 years old, but don’t meet the minimum height to allow them to compete in the Cadet category.

Age Requirements

Drivers may compete in the Junior category from their 12th birthday. Driver may continue to compete in the Junior category beyond their 16th birthday providing their birthday does not fall before the 1st of June 2026. 

Drivers aged 12 or over on the 1st of June 2026 may be considered eligible to compete in the Cadet class should they be unable to fulfill the minimum height requirement to compete in the Junior category. In such instances, each case will be considered by the Championship organisers.

Entrants must be in possession of a valid Motorsport UK K-I Licence and TeamSport Indoor Karting Elite member ship, or if under 16 years old, a TeamSport Race Academy membership. Should a competitor’ membership expire during the competition on, it must be renewed to enable the competitor to carry on competing.
